Consumer/Citizen Award
Person who, not in the regular line of duty, performs life-saving, limb-saving, or medical techniques in a medical emergency. Shows quick-thinking, common sense, and initiative to save a life or reduce injury.
2009
- Gregg Nappi — In recognition of his courageous and enduring act of skiing through the night and the next morning to save a friend who had tumbled more than 1,000 feet during an ice climb in April 2009.
2008
- Larry Eggart of Nome — in recognition of two decades of courageous life-saving rescue as an Alaskan bush pilot.
2007
- Matthew and Cindi Hopwood of Eielson AFB, for their essential actions and interventions at the scene of a mass casualty motor vehicle accident on the Seward Highway.
2006
- Kara Burns, age 10, of Naknek, who is honored for saving two people from an overturned vehicle in a water-filled ditch on May 31, 2006
2005
- Frank Wasmer of Skagway, whose quick action and cadiopulmonary resusciation saved the life of his wife and resulted in her total recovery.
2004
- Michael Pitka and Helen Alekie - Russian Mission, for a life-saving rescue of two children from drowning.
2003
- Keira Lestina - Eagle River, for saving a mother and child from a burning motor home
2002
- Dean Osmar Clam Gulch; Bart Klonizos & Ryan Roemisch – Wyoming; David Blanchard, Sr., David Blanchard, Jr., Amelia Blanchard & Chris Hermez – Louisiana, for boat rescue in Cook Inlet

- Jeremy Sagoonick & Silas Paniptchuk - Shaktoolik, for using first aid skills to aid a hunting partner with a gunshot wound

- Capt. Louis Green, Jr. - Nome, for rescue of a teenager from the waters of Nome harbor

- Peggy Fagerstrom - Nome, for performing life-saving CPR on a friend
1998
- Radar Lambert - Kotzebue, a 10-year-old non-swimmer, for using a personal flotation device to save friend from drowning
1997
- Chris Norgaard, Ian Sharrock & Judd England, for heroic rescue in Chugach State Park of 14 climbers who fell 1,000 feet down Ptarmigan Peak

- Chad Benson, Larry Faeo, John Neal, Levi Reilly - Soldotna, for saving lives in a motor vehicle crash
1995
- Frank Hobson - Glennallen, for saving the life of his 5-year-old nephew, using First Aid and CPR training he received in school

- Dave Lewis - Sitka, for administering CPR to an elderly visitor
1993
- Tom Burgess - North Pole; David Lancaster - Michigan; Robert Brantley - Georgia, for assisting passengers & bus driver after head-on collision of tour bus on the Parks Highway

- John Haddelan - Seward, for administering first aid to and transporting a hunting friend who had suffered gun shot wounds
1991
- Brian Adamson - Petersburg, a child who saved his friend from drowning in swimming pool;
- Telaina & Selena Kempf - Barrow, teens who saved a man from drowning in ocean

- Bill Halleran - Unalakleet, for aircraft search & rescue, triage & providing aid to patients

- Mike Hays - Juneau, for drowning rescue & providing CPR

- Mike Scupine - Anchorage, for drowning rescue & providing CPR

- Andre Cossett - Kodiak, 9-year-old who moved father from heavy overhead door, called EMS & provided supportive care while waiting for EMS

- Esperidon Floresta, Jr. - Clarks Point, 8 year-old who rescued grandmother from burning house

- Gordon Birdsall - Palmer, 17-year-old who extricated victim in single vehicle collision and provided CPR

- Kurt Gain - Seldovia, for water rescue of family of five

- Barry Johnson, Dave & Betty Predeger - Anchorage, for drowning rescue & resuscitation

- Nelson Walker & Rich Smart - Kotzebue, bush pilots, for their heroic efforts to rescue victims of plane crash

- Tim Jauhola- Nenana, 15-year who aided victim of serious shooting accident

- William Headle - Ft. Wainwright; Alvin Ivory & Peter Davis - Eielson AFB, for drowning rescue
